and Installation of
Signalling and Communication Systems
Ansaldo STS has the ability to design, manufacture, install, commission and maintain signalling and traffic control and supervision systems for railway projects of any size. Through the use of the most up to date technology, Ansaldo STS can apply its experience to many different applications for railways and metros to suit customer requirements. Ansaldo STS can act as the prime contractor, as a sub-contractor, or as a joint venture partner.
The majority of projects undertaken by Ansaldo STS are in response to tenders. However, the company secures an increasing percentage of work through non-solicited approaches. Ansaldo STS adopts a proactive approach to projects, providing unique and innovative solutions.

Communication
Systems
Ansaldo STS has positioned itself to meet the demand for reliable radio based communications systems and has a well established communications group. The function of this group is to engineer and construct systems that provide higher levels of security than conventional voice radio systems.

Maintenance Support
Ansaldo STS has developed a support and maintenance capability in response to growing market requirements to outsource specialised maintenance operations.
Ansaldo STS recognises that a strong preventative maintenance program is fundamental to railway operations. Services include scheduled first and second level maintenance of signalling and communications systems, together with call out services and general repairs co-ordinated by the regional Ansaldo STS office.
